Meet at the dive center near Sairee Beach main junction. Get your gear sorted, paperwork done, and dive briefing before heading to the catamaran.

8:15AM · Leave Shore · Board the Catamaran
Transfer out to the catamaran. Set up your station, grab a coffee, and enjoy the open sea as you head to the dive sites. This boat is genuinely the nicest on the island.

Gear check with your guide. Espresso, tea, water and snacks on deck. Dive briefing for the first site. Nowhere to be, nothing to do.

Into the water for the first dive. Sail Rock trips hit the pinnacle straight away. Best Of Tao trips start at Chumphon or Southwest – crystal clear water with massive schools of fish swirling around granite.

Everything You Need To Know.
Do I need to be a certified diver?
Yes. These trips are exclusively for certified divers (Open Water certification minimum). There are no try dives or beginner courses on this boat. Not certified yet? Check out the Open Water Diver Course.
What certification level do I need?
Open Water Diver (or equivalent) as a minimum. Sail Rock reaches depths around 30m. If you want to dive the full site, Advanced Open Water is recommended. Let the team know your certification level when booking.
What is the difference between Sail Rock and Best Of Tao?
Sail Rock is a single remote pinnacle, the best dive site in the Gulf of Thailand. It takes longer to reach but with the Chaba catamaran, you’ll get there in less than an hour most days. Best Of Tao covers one of those different top Koh Tao spots – Chumphon Pinnacle or Southwest Pinnacle. All the trips give you the best whale shark odds on Koh Tao.
I haven't dived in a while. Is there a refresher option?
Yes. If you haven’t dived in over 12 months, a short refresher dive beforehand is recommended. Chat with the team on WhatsApp and they can arrange a refresher session the day before your trip.
Will we see whale sharks?
Whale sharks are spotted regularly at all three sites but cannot be guaranteed as it’s wildlife. Koh Tao has some of the best whale shark encounter rates in Thailand, and these are the exact sites where sightings happen most. The captain and guide know what signs to look for.
What should I bring?
Bathing suit, towel, reef-safe sunscreen, a change of clothes, and your dive computer if you have one (rental on board for 250 THB). Lunch and drinks are included so no need to bring food.
